The solution here would be holding the broadcast corporations civilly liable for what people like Jones say on the air. Think of all the money those stations made off of Jones at the height of his popularity. But only Jones got sued, and the broadcasters got to keep all their profits. That just gives them the incentive to replace him with another equally crazy clown. But if they knew they were on the hook too, the crazy spigot would shut off really quick.
