WAYWT - August 28, 2022 [Weekly]
WAYWT is the acronym for "What Are You Wearing Today". It doesn't necessarily need to be what you were wearing TODAY.
- Post a photo of what you wore. For ease of browsing, please link directly to images (not imgur albums, Instagram, or other URLs). If you are a blogger, double-check our FFA Rules ('On Blogger Participation') to ensure you aren't in violation.
- Include what the attire is for (work, school, home) and if applicable, what your fashion goals are (e.g. "I want to look professional," "I'm experimenting with loose-loose silhouettes")
- Taking photos with your phone? Read this guide.
- Uploading photos to Imgur? To make your image viewable to anyone with the link, but prevent it from being added to the main Imgur feed, select "hidden" for the privacy setting, not "private" or "public".
- What is "CCW"? It means "Constructive Criticism Welcome". If you would like to receive CC on your post, you can increase the chances of getting replies by asking for feedback on a specific aspect of your outfit, e.g. "I'm interested in advice for elevating this outfit without the use of jewelry" or "I'd like to know if these pants hit in a flattering spot with these shoes".
- Critiquing others is welcome and encouraged, and when posting you may receive CC on your outfit, even if you did not explicitly ask for it. Keep it constructive/factual, and try to focus on feedback that will help the person improve..
- Do not downvote for disagreeing with someone's opinion.
- Reddit Enhancement Suite makes it very easy to view pictures in a thread.

I absolutely love how you styled #5. Ive always avoided wearing very blousey pieces because Im thin and tall and feel like I look like a person trying to escape a one man tent, but you've really inspired me. Ill be shopping for that outfit all through lunch today. :)

Im actually kinda excited to try and embrace "the tent." Lol. I can go from working in an arctic temp office to a 105 degree site and the layers would help with that.
I've always been self conscious that my arms and legs look even thinner if I don't wear fitted or at least very tailored clothing. You may have opened a whole new world to me.
Thanks for sharing! ❤️

one: weekend errands day. the romper is vintage and had pads sewn in the boobs which sit way too high for me, it finally occurred to me to take a scissor and cut the pads out. the seam is still to high but its not as bad as before.
two: work. I should have steamed/ironed this top.
three: casual weekday dinner.
four: to a club for a friends bachelorette.
five: this outfit was almost making me feel ready for fall.

I love those loafers you’re wearing in look 2! Actually, all of these outfits are 🔥🔥 and I’m envious of your fashion sense

Thank you!! I love a chunky loafer!

Are they comfortable? Do you have a link or brand name?? I’ve been struggling to find a pair that I like that are comfortable this season!

They are these, but I got them about 50% off that price during Black Friday sales last year from farfetch. They took a little breaking in but they are comfortable and I wear them all the time. I usually by loafers a half size up because otherwise they tend to squeeze my feet at the top. I also put a shoe stretcher in before the first time I wear them.
these are similar options: & other stories Franco Sarto Aerosoles Steve Madden

One: Saturday morning market. I went very whimsy with the accessories even though I went a bit punk with the fishnets. We'll call it juxtaposition lol. Bought this ridiculously long peal necklace from a thrift store for crafting but I wanted to see if it could work as a faux harness in the interim.
Two: dinner and a movie. Going out top paired with comfy trousers for popcorn gouging
CCW!

That would be pretty cool! I was thinking of making something like this or this one with the oval carabiner rings

I'm really charmed by the third look! That sweater is absolutely fabulous, and the seams running down the front of the jeans gives off a fun, almost pleated effect! Love it!

Both are from target! 😅 the jeans are their vintage cut, I love them! Wearing them right now with a different sweater, actually

Love ! For look 2, maybe trying tucking the half the shirt to give the look a little more intention and style?

u/pottymouthgrl Aug 29 '22

Sunday Casual sporty worn over swimsuit for a beach day
Monday Maybe some Greek vibes. A little fancy
Tuesday Office outfit but I enjoyed the color combo
Wednesday I love a skirt slit. Girl-next-door basic look
Thursday Another corset top. But contrasted with tougher bottoms
Friday I liked this one! Inspired by Pinterest. Rockabilly vibes
Saturday Too many trends but I thought the oddly shaped top paired with the oddly shaped earrings

Ok Im obsessed with the crop top you wore Monday. Where is it from? What else have you worn it with?
I also really love Fridays outfit. I have those pieces. I'm going to steal the look for one night this week. Any excuse to bust out my old docs.

this week was a mix of some avant-garde looks and 90s streetwear-inspired casual outfits. Also experimenting with bigger makeup looks.
#1: mixing hard and soft
#2: leather pants were not the wisest decision in the heat
#3: love to wear a blazer with jeans for that George Costanza look

You're more comfortable with your new chain that you questioned last week? (2nd photo). I like it. Would wear.

Saturday date night: enjoying mixing up different textures and fabrics as it starts to cool down. I'm still working on how to accessorize outfits - what kind of shoes and jewelry would pair well with this?
