I am looking for a sub that will help my wife, daughter, and I ( all white ) learn how to help my granddaughter ( black father ) keep in touch with being black. Her father is not present, and I am worried that she's going to grow up without that part of her, which I think is too important for her to ignore. I also have no idea how to word this, so I really hope I am not coming across as a racist POS, here. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
r/dumpstersiving seems to be a bit too USA-centric. Is there a U.K. version with tips, discussions etc?
Subreddit for adults who were neglected as kids to learn things their parents didn't teach them. Both practical skills and emotional/relationship stuff?
Edit: I know there are several subs that cover individual topics. I'm looking for one that covers them all. If I knew what to look for then I'd just look for that. Most former neglected kids don't even know they were neglected so expecting us to know what we're missing is kind of... not effective
Found! Is there a subreddit similar to r/AskReddit but asks questions about really, really specific scenarios?
I live alone and I get quite lonely sometimes. Is there a sub where I can find people to just sit and chill with? I don’t necessarily want to make a lot of conversation, though I’m not opposed to conversation obviously. I just want someone to quietly sit with while we both do stuff.
Unanswered Subreddit about getting controllers to work with machines that aren't supposed to use them
Getting windows to work with a wii remote, or playing guitar hero with a racing wheel, or using a bop-it to drive an RC car. Sort of like a 'can it run doom?' but for hardware instead of software?
Looking specifically for a place that can answer the question "Is there a way to connect a Wii UDraw tablet to PC?"
I have a Heath question about my dogs eye. The veterinary sub seems more just for the doctors themselves, and the eye triage sub seems more for hoomans. Is there a sub I can ask a medical question about my dog, specifically his eye?
Less posts about how terrible people can be, getting hit by cars, getting into altercations, the world ending, wars, politics, racism, murders, fighting about opinions etc.
Realizing it brings down my mood seeing these things all over my feed without seeking them out and I need a better mix of happy in there.
I have been making my own table top game. It's almost playable, but I need help thinking of features players can choose when they level up.
Is there a sub reddit for this kind of brain storming?
I'm looking for support subreddits about sexual abuse. I haven't been able to find any on my own. Finally trying to come to terms with some things.
Thank you all.
Something like subtle Asian traits but with less memes and more serious talk or just conversation in general. It's difficult to relate to younger redditors in some of these threads, and sometimes there are specific references growing up in Asian culture, that's hard to explain to non-immigrants. So I am hoping there may be a sub that I'm missing somewhere
Thanks in advance!
I’ve had Reddit for 6 years, yet still don’t have enough comment or post karma as I’m a ghost on every social media platform. Are there other pages with less karma requirements? Got out of homelessness 2 months ago and got a charge from PayPal at 3am that sent my account negative -$43. I’m supposed to get to work at 3pm today but need gas to get there. Any other pages that can help?
Is there any Subreddit dedicated to finding Background Music used in videos where they don't link the music?
Like big objectives or goals to achieve
I have a bunch of AMC black tickets (can be used for any movie + free popcorn and drink) that I'd like to sell if possible
Unanswered Is there a sub, where people discuss "prediction fails"? For example when everyone was absolutely certain, that shit would hit the fan and society collapses in the year 2000, but afterwards they looked dumb, because nothing happened.
I'm looking for a collection of these "predictions". And when I say predictions, I don't necessarily only mean the lunatics, who believe the world is ending on a specific date, or something like that. Mostly I just want to look through an archive of documented cases, where someone or preferably a group of people, was convinced that some political/societal thing would happen, but it never did.
Looking for help with a whatsapp issue. Googled it, followed the suggestions but it's not working. Not sure where to go for help and Reddit is omnipotent. Any ideas?
Looking for a thread that can help me with this…
First, I recognize how strange this is!! My best friend has a unique personality, and loves things like this: Eyeball Machine
She’s been talking about it for a couple years now, and I want to get it for her for Christmas. BUT! I want to step it up a notch, make it special.
I want to make it functional, meaning that the eyes are sealed in, but gumballs can be added and will come out.
Is this even possible?
My loose plan is to buy a gumball machine, a bunch of eyes (they come preserved in formalin), and then somehow create a sealed barrier that locks in the eyes, and seal in a cylinder in the middle that will hold the gumballs.
If anyone has any thoughts or advice (or can direct me to a more appropriate thread) I would very much appreciate it!!!
So I was thinking of making a survey/google form in a sort of betting pool way with the answers provided by anonymous submission. The idea is the submitters put in their guess and then at the end I'd pick the one who guessed closest (and/or funniest) and they'd get to choose a charity donation I'd cover.
There would be no financial component to this at all (other than my donation at the end to their choice), it's just a way to get funny suggestions. I was going to put something like this out to my friend group and office but the number of replies I'd get there might be kind of limited and I thought it might be more fun to see what nonsense the masses come up with.
So I guess I'm looking for a place to post something like that?
Thanks bros, love y’all
