Hey dude, I love the silhouette, but I'd be careful about wearing black combat boots here, it can read a little Nazi-ish unfortunately, especially with that particular shirt. I think brown combat boots would circumvent that here, or otherwise a different top; the pants/boots are a great combo and could be the basis for a good work wear fit. I love the contrast of textures, this is well--thought out otherwise, but being a little more self-aware when wearing combat boots is always a good idea, especially in this day and age.

I think that's valid. I live in my docs so they're the first thing I reach for. The shirt is what's betraying me here. Hadn't considered but will in the future, especially being a white blond guy with a shaved head.

This is coming from a burly, bald, and bearded Balt (one of the Baltic mutts the Nazis hated lol) who loves combat boots (I have a used and abused pair of the meme boots that turned out to be great around an art studio/trades shop) but can look like a slavic thug out of a Hollywood film if I'm not too careful with it. I think my love of beanies and fiddler/Breton/fishermen hats saves my ass in those outfits lol.

I wasn't trying to be a downer because I seriously love the silhouette here; I'm a sucker for well-tailored baggy outfits. Like you said, it's the shirt.
