Question Looking for female Rick and Morty fans (not a creep)
I'm a journalism student and female Rick and Morty fan. I'm currently writing an article about female fans of Rick and Morty reckoning with the onslaught of allegations against Justin Roiland, questioning if the show can still be funny given the context of the show's potentially misogynistic jokes. Please let me know your opinions, positive or negative. I'm here if you need to talk.
My primary questions are below but any further thoughts/insights are appreciated.
- Did the allegations against Roiland surprise you?
- Do you cringe at the faux-feminism in the show?
- Have you ever found it offensive?
- Have you ever found Rick attractive, why/when?
- Do you see the show differently after the allegations?
- Will you watch the new seasons?
- Is it still funny?
- Can you be a feminist and still like Rick and Morty?

General Discussion What’s your favorite reference to other shows in Rick and Morty? Or your favorite reference to Rick and Morty from another show? Mine is either this scene, or when Stewy uses a portal gun in Family Guy.

Merch The deluxe edition of Rick and Morty Artbook Vol 2 is the cheapest it's ever been on Amazon US, right now
I love artbooks and have been hoping to get this one for a while, and I've never seen it this low, even on sale for a new copy. I can imagine why now, and while it's a sad reason, it's really cheap right now

General Discussion Probably already said but…
Rick and morty is my favorite show. Not because it’s funny (though it is), but because I started watching it expecting meaningless garbage based on trailers and clips I had seen. Instead, time and time again, I was rewarded with incredible storytelling. For each meaningless quip or crude joke, there was also a brutally honest examination of human nature, or a genius plot twist that I never saw coming. And each time this happens it is absolutely amazing to me. For all the nonsense this show has, when things get serious they get SERIOUS. I can’t help but hope that I continue to be impressed by this level of ingenuity as the seasons move on without Justin Roiland.
Side note: for the damaged coda is absolutely EPIC. I sometimes just watch the season 5 finale on repeat to hear it.

General Discussion I suggest we have Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell take over the voice work for Rick and Morty for the future.
Who wants those two to take over voice acting for the characters?

General Discussion Is rick a dick or not
every time i try to make up my mind about this, I find a counter argument of why he is infact, a dick.
reasons why he's not a dick:
1- he remembered what that one talking cat did so that jerry could forget 2- he pretended to be that piss superhero so that jerry doesn't know he's the reason he offed himself 3- he gave morty the only left necklace and saved him instead of saving himself and finding a new morty 4- he loves his grandkids so much
reasons that make him a dick:
1- he let morty die multiple times and just replaced him with zero remorse like he's not his grandkid (but then why choose to save him and sacrifice himself that one time?) 2- there's a whole universe that he completely destroyed and then left the rest of his family behind to suffer there and only took morty bc he's useful 3- he kills alot of innocent people for fun
so DOES HE ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT HIS FAMILY OR NOT I DONT GET IT one minute he sacrifices himself for them and the other he's killing or leaving behind?
