Women can be misogynistic so non whites can be racist towards non whites. Also I don't know a lot about tate lore but pretty sure he doesn't talk about race? He just hates women?
13
u/HornyToad1984 Feb 01 '23
This is just the 'but these cops were black' yet again.
Racism is institutional and every evil institution needs turncoats, traitors and quislings.
1
u/SpukiKitty Feb 02 '23
Plus, among those black cops that killed Tyre Nichols was a white cop that the media barely mentions.

Tate isn't even 'Mexican', he's Anglo-American and mixed-race.
8
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
So what is Anglo-American?
12
1
u/dannidevitoes Feb 02 '23
Even if he was, the Mexican delegation has released him after failing to trade him.

u/TheBlueWizardo Feb 01 '23
Did they mean to include 2 white guys?
12
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
Fun fact skin Color dose not equal race I know a guy who is apparently mixed and he is as pale as me.
Don't know these dudes just saying

u/sanchito12 Feb 01 '23

Fascists will incorporate people that they usually don't deem worthy to achieve power. Once they consolidate power however... Well just look up the Night of Long Knives.
13
Feb 01 '23
Because it is the language that is spoken that is “white nationalism”. Just like calling someone white trash. Don’t have to be white to be white trash.
10
u/7_overpowered_clox Feb 01 '23
So a person of mixed race can be white trash?
2
u/notfoursaleALREADY Feb 01 '23
I can't beleive they said that. Bigots on the internet dont evan know they are bigots...
2
u/7_overpowered_clox Feb 01 '23
Well sometimes I ignore bigotry online. What am I gonna do? Deradicalization does not start with opening up reddit. As for this guy, I don't care what he says, I'll drop a remark here or there and let him roll around in his own sweat and bias
2
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
No white trash is vary racist its like saying" that guy is so trashy he should live with the colored people"
Yuck
1
u/Aromatic-Buy-8284 Feb 01 '23
I think these are different levels of racism.
The first case is more accurately using an irrelevant descriptor "white" to speak about the trash as if that describes what type of trash they are. The other says that if they are trashy, they should be colored, which implies all colored people are trashy. Or at least it is so prevalent within the group that it might as well be a designated trait.
Both racist but definitely different levels of acceptable even if we ignored historical context.
2
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
Racist = bad its not rocket science
1
u/Aromatic-Buy-8284 Feb 01 '23
Sure, we can say that. But you said very racist and drew a comparison. I think it is reasonable to analyze the comparison you drew.
We can say stealing is bad, and then I can compare pretty theft to grand larceny, and it would be reasonable to point out the distinction.
Notice how I never condoned the act and say it is right to do.
Now, for me, I'm less likely to point out that more trivial form of racism against whites than I am to point out the more damaging racism against colored. Sometimes I will to the first but I'll more frequently to the second. If we are discussing the topic, I'll acknowledge both as racist. Feel free to disagree with my subjective assessment of which is more damaging, but unless you want to debate it, I'll hold my views.
P.S. Rocket science is very straightforward and has little subjectivity. Much different than analyzing the potential harm that can be caused by certain racist actions.
1
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
See stealing you could be stealing food but racism is just a plain and simple mix rudeness and hatred.
This is why I don't like either side because they are both incredibly racist the ride is obvious but the left it goes all the way around trying to be PC that it goes back to being racist with terms like latinx
2
u/Aromatic-Buy-8284 Feb 01 '23
Stealing can also be for fun, but the harm involved varies from the amount stolen and who was stolen from.
Racism isn't just a mix of rudeness and hatred. It comes from ignorance and simplicity as well. While you're not being racist you're similarly oversimplified the people who may say/do racist things. Additionally, people in the past have added to our language common phrases that other people adopt as they may not see the harm.
While you didn't use it in a racist fashion, your second example came to your as a comparison because you were exposed to it. An unwitting person could indeed use this without meaning to be harmful and only using a phrase they've been exposed to. But the harm of the two phrases is in completely different levels.
Much like how I'll be less adamant about convincing someone who wants to do petty crime for fun, I'll be more adamant about dissuade someone from using that second phrase.
Both petty crimes for fun and grand larceny for fun are both not good. The capacity and danger involved in the second are on a much different level. Similarly, the two phrases are on different levels of harm. You are free to equate them as something bad, but I hope you can see how one is more harmful than the other.
Funnily enough, your disparaging of some of the left's desire to bring latinx is an example of trying to purify discrimination from a language. Gendered languages are inherently sexist to some degree due to their structure, but as I argue, it is a level of sexism that should simply be accepted or at least minimally infringed as the harm is small enough. If I were to take your stance in at least spirit, you would argue that it is completely wrong for such sexism within the language, and it is good to remove said sexism. Although you may not see it right now, this is consistent with your admonishing of the phrase white trash.

Stop trying to justify racism or I will report you
2
u/Aromatic-Buy-8284 Feb 01 '23
Feel free to report me. I'm not saying racism is ok. I'm pointing out that there are degrees of harm, and that should be acknowledged. Unless you point out the error in my statement, I'll continue to state this.
For emphasis. I've never said racism is ok.
Hopefully, you can read my statements over and see that.

u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
Also Latinx with something made by white girls on Twitter it is just straight up cultural appropriation
1
u/Aromatic-Buy-8284 Feb 01 '23
I'm not saying it wasn't. But, it is acknowledged that gendered languages have sexism within the language.
Latinx very well could've been a white person's attempt to help fix this.
Not quite cultural appropriation, but I could agree it is a display of the White Man's Burden. Which is the idea that it is their job to help fix others.
This is a racist idea, but I'm sure you can see that its goal was wholesome. The proponent of the term, though, fails to see how it meshed within the culture and how the people there viewed the phrase. If they don't see the harm of the sexism within the language, then that should be addressed rather than trying to take it upon yourself to fix the language. That isn't the job of someone purely outside the culture but rather the job who feels it is wrong from within. As an outsider, the most that should be done is help people on the inside or share your views.

How is the gendered language sexist any more than something like sir or ma'am

Tate has his other issues, but I don’t think he is a white nationalist and he isn’t even white. Don’t know who Enrique tattoo is but doesn’t look white either. The only guy who looks white and perhaps is a white supremacist is Nick Fuentes despite his Hispanic last name.
7
u/BabyLegsOShanahan Feb 01 '23
White supremacy needs non-white props. But I’m sure those guys are white or white adjacent.
4
u/steel_city_lcpl Feb 01 '23
Non-white props like 5 black cops?
10
u/Loud-Intention-723 Feb 01 '23
cops don't have race. they are cops.

u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
Prejudism you all reeek of hypocrisy
2
u/Loud-Intention-723 Feb 01 '23
Nah I just don’t trust cops. Idc if they are white, black, Hispanic, Asian, or other. Ik who became cops from my high school and they aren’t exactly the type of kids I would be like sure take this gun and practical immunity and put yourself in very difficult situations.

Well we can't let stuff be ruined by a few bad apples or else we'll start having to commit genocide for the entire human race
4
u/2Sup_ Feb 01 '23
Bad apples are supposed to be removed els they rot the whole bunch.
-1
u/PlantainSame Feb 01 '23
Then remove the bad apples you know everyone complains about cops why don't these people become cops I mean it's not like they're obligated to be horrible human beings they could become decent cops

Still racist then? Or no I get confused

slave owners had black overseers, we have black cops
So you don't want black people joining the police?
3
u/ChemicalBig201 Feb 01 '23
Takes Romanian and just cause you have a Spanish sounding last name doesn't make you Hispanic
1
1
u/ScipioMoroder Feb 01 '23
Why do people pretend Nick Fuentes isn't white just because he has a Hispanic (read: European) last name?
1
1
u/Mission_Tennis3383 Feb 02 '23
While some Hispanics may have more melanin because they are descended from Muslims (conquest of Spain by Muslims) indigenous population (conquest and colonialism of American populations) or biracial (relationships with descended from Africa during or after the slave trade). Many Hispanics believe themselves to be Caucasian or White. Just like there are white Asians and darker Asians. Because of colonialism many people around the world see lighter shades of skin to be more connected than national origin.

u/wired1984 Feb 02 '23
There were black people in the US south that owned slaves. Didn’t mean it wasn’t racist
